Online tasks feel easier when residents understand both how the internet works and how to protect themselves while using it. These workshops replace uncertainty with patient instruction, realistic practice, and simple habits that support safer, more independent technology use.

- INTERNET BASICS
Learn how Wi-Fi, browsers, websites, links, and tabs work. Practice navigating pages and browsing safely without feeling overwhelmed.
- EMAIL BASICS
Learn to create, read, reply to, forward, and organize email while recognizing spam, suspicious links, and unsafe attachments.
- SEARCHING THE INTERNET
Turn everyday questions into effective searches. Identify advertisements, trustworthy websites, useful results, and information that should be verified.
- PASSWORDS & ACCOUNT SECURITY
Create stronger, unique passwords and protect important accounts using password managers, two-step verification, alerts, and account-recovery tools.
- ONLINE SHOPPING & BANKING
Shop, pay bills, and monitor accounts more safely online while checking websites, sellers, charges, and payment security.
- DIGITAL ORGANIZATION & FILE MANAGEMENT
Organize photos, documents, downloads, folders, and cloud storage. Practice finding files, reducing clutter, managing storage, and creating backups.
- TECHNOLOGY TROUBLESHOOTING BASICS
Use a calm, step-by-step process to solve common device, app, Wi-Fi, sound, and charging problems. Learn when to restart, update, or ask for help.

WORKSHOP FORMAT
45–60 minutes of accessible instruction followed by approximately 15 minutes for questions and practical technology support. Participants are encouraged to bring their own smartphone or tablet. Give your residents practical tools to browse, communicate, protect accounts, organize information, and solve common technology problems with greater confidence.
